Graduated at the University of Natal, Durban in 2000 with a B. PROC. Degree. He served his articles of clerkship with Logan Pillay and Katha Padayachee Attorneys. He was admitted as an attorney in 21 November 2003 and became a professional assistant at Logan Pillay attorneys.
He joined Maseko & Associates in April 2005 as a partner. Thereafter Maseko and Associates changed to Maseko Mbatha & Associates in 2006. In 01 September 2017 he formed a new law firm M. Mbatha Attorneys and was incorporated on 09 February 2018 as M. Mbatha Inc. Mthandeni Mbatha has a right of admission in the High Court and focuses on the following areas of law:-
